Letter from Asari Dokubo to Gen Olusegun Obasanjo

CONTROVERSIAL LETTER: Asari Dokubo Replies Obasanjo, You Won’t Believe What He Revealed

The leader of Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Mujahid Dokubo Asari, on Thursday called former President Olusegun Obasanjo the “Chief Assassin of all times” in response to the former leader’s recent letter to President Goodluck Jonathan.
Capture
In a letter to Obasanjo, Dokubo, who has previously sworn that there will be hell on earth if Jonathan is not re-elected in 2015, rebutted Obasanjo’s claim that Jonathan is training a special killer squad to hit 1000 supposed opponents of his government.
Asari also claimed that Obasanjo was responsible for his recent arrest in Benin Republic, and that he had wanted him dead when he was President, but failed after several unsuccessful plots.
“I want to remind you of the startling move you made on my life during the momentous days, leading to the historic Isaac Boro celebration on the 16th of May 2005,” he recounted.  “At that time the Bayelsa state Government was under Chief D.S.P. Alamieseigha. Chief DSP Alamieseigha had warned that the 1million man march the NDPVF was organizing to protest the injustice of the Nigerian state against the Ijaws and other oil bearing nation should not hold and would not be allow into Bayelsa state because of a security report that emanated from you that I didn’t know at the time. The report or plot to truncate the march was grave and dangerous, as the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State Chief D.S.P. Alamieseigha, told me the Bayelsa State Government couldn’t guarantee our security – my security.
“The Governor, Chief D.S.P. Alamieseigha was away in South Africa at the time. Goodluck Jonathan was then the acting Governor of Bayelsa state, and asked us not to come into Bayelsa state of course we brushed off all obstacles whether real or imagined that were mounted not to let us into Yenagoa.
“Chief D.S.P. Alamieseigha then informed me that you – General Olusegun Obasanjo, sent 5 snipers to kill me in Yenegoa and that he -Chief D.S.P Alamieseigha accommodated them at the government house in yenegoa. That he traveled out of the state and directed the Bayelsa State government not to allow me into Yenegoa to avoid my being killed in Yenegoa by your snipers – as he didn’t know if you had sent other snipers into the state. It downed on me, why Dr. Peter Odili, gave us all the resources we sought– it was to push me into a den of your snipers – because he offered us assistance even when we are not the best of friends, providing all the resources we needed to convey us out of town.”
Insisting that Obasanjo is the leader of killers, Asari stated, “ I wonder why you, the Chief Assassin of all times, would accuse President Goodluck Jonathan of training 1000 snipers and having a watch-list of political opponents when he has tolerated your insane excesses along with your mutinous gang which no head of government the world over would have so tolerated forgetting so soon that this was the same infamous journey you embarked on during the regime of General Sanni Abacha that nearly cost you your life.Until date, the mystery surrounding the death of your kinsman and former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Late Bola Ige’s death has not been unraveled. So also is that of my kinsmen AK Dikibo and Chief Marshall Harry. At the time they were felled, AK Dikibo was national vice chairman (south-south) of the PDP while Chief Marshall Harry was former national vice chairman (south south) of the PDP and also the national vice chairman (south-south) of the ANPP, as president of the Federal republic of Nigeria you were the national leader of the PDP. At that time, many public analysts described the PDP as a nest of killers. Governor Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia state, clearly stated that your hands may not be clean regarding the brutal killing of the then Vice Chairman of South-South Zone of the PDP – A.K. Dikibo.”
Asari also described Obasanjo as an ethnic champion, contrary to his national slogan.
“Name one Nigerian leader that wasn’t known for his clannish, ethnic and tribal interests,” he challenged.  “How has Nigeria fared since independence if not on the tuft of steely ethnic considerations? How do you expect President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan to be divulged of this, after you led many others in the display of ethnic and tribal purges?
“Why have you singled out Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan to be sacrificed on the altar of ethnicity, sectional and bloody intrigues, designed to incite Nigerians against the Ijaws and his government? Is it because Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan is an Ijaw man or as you once described him – as a weak minority leader of Nigeria whose aspiration must be limited because he is an Ijaw man. What often creates violence, especially in Africa is when unguarded utterances are made by well connected ethnic chauvinists that provoke untenable ethnic bickering, bad blood and insinuation of violence, amongst hitherto friendly people in a multi-plural state. I find your warning that President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan maybe the last Ijaw to rule Nigeria a little childish. I believe you think the Ijaws are far too small, too few and deeply insignificant to assert any ambition to rule Nigeria. The dream of Ijaws is not to rule Nigeria but to rule a country that is theirs – a truly great and free country that believes in the dignity of labour and the virtues of good leadership. If Ijaws won’t rule Nigeria then they must seek their own country, in line with universal principles of self- determination and rule ourselves because Ijaws won’t succumb to be made slaves- Never!”
He concluded that the former president was behind his recent arrest.
“Finally, your evil plot to put me away before the 2015 general election failed in the Republic of Benin. I end this piece by saying Allah is on my side. Despite your brutal attack on me, and plot to kill me, Allah has been my helper and has not abandoned me. Your blood-curdling incitement of the authorities of the Republic of Benin against me, at my exiled home, so as to have me docked, tried and sentenced for national security related offences replays what you did before. The fact that I escaped unhurt when all hope was lost is a pointer to my supernatural fortification, leading and protection. In your plot to have me sidelined, Allah used President Goodluck

Leicester City's appeal to register Adrien Silva was rejected by FIFA on Wednesday despite support from the English Football Association after the paperwork was submitted 14 seconds late on deadline day.

The club and the FA had asked FIFA to ratify the midfielder's transfer after the late delivery of the paperwork for the £22 million ($29 million, 25 million euros) move from Sporting Lisbon, but it was denied and he will now not be able to play until January.
A FIFA spokesman said: "The petition made by the Football Association for permission to request the international transfer certificate for the player Adrien Silva and subsequently register the player for its affiliated club, Leicester City FC, is rejected."
A Leicester spokesman said the club was disappointed with the decision about the player, who is in limbo and unable to train with the squad.
"We maintain... that all parties involved in Adrien's transfer fulfilled their obligations, consistent with FIFA regulations and within the required timeframe," the spokesman said.
"The club is reserving its position in relation to whether it will decide to appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
"The club and its staff will continue to work with Adrien to hopefully minimise the impact that missing a substantial period of the season may have on the player, while continuing to prepare the squad for the games ahead."
Silva also been left out of Portugal's squad for their final World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Switzerland this month, with his country still hopeful of reaching next summer's tournament in Russia.
Leicester made a late move for the 28-year-old after Danny Drinkwater left for Chelsea and B have said the transfer is complete.
But he will be unavailable to boss Craig Shakespeare until January, with the Foxes lying 17th in the Premier League after just one win this season.

Inside relationship

Guys Versus Babes Who does more crazy things when in love?

Drunk in love. Drunk in love.
(Good Therapy)

You know that tingling feeling you get when you like someone so much?

It's often said that that is common sense creeping out of your body, leaving you exposed and open to doing all sorts of ‘crazy’ and ‘illogical’ things because love is strong on the brain.
Here's the thing, you're not alone in that. Everyone who has been in love, at least once, can relate with that feeling.
Why are men scared of successful, independent women like these? You just find yourself smiling at nothing, for nothing... love on the brain. (Think Pynk)

When love is strong on the brain, people do a lot of 'crazy' stuff. Guys fall in love and before you know it, they’re doing all the loved-up stuff they swore to never do.
Babes fall in love and they’re doing all the things they swore to never do for a guy. Even more.
It’s an unending merry-go-round, one which involves single people listing things they’ll never do for a partner.
Some hurt women plot the most evil schemes when they've been cheated on

And also how they want to be while in relationships. But then, as soon as they fall in love and all those good romantic feelings descend on them, they lose sight of those plans they had logically laid in their hearts.
People just go with the love flow, which sometimes tosses them towards doing crazy things – all in the name of love, of course.
So, in your opinion, which of the genders gets most affected by this? Vote in the poll below: who does more crazy things when in love, men or women?
Let us know in the poll below:

Court to hear ex-minister's application on October 30

The former minister is seeking to be joined as defendant in a N500 million fraud charge slammed on Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Dele Belgore.

Justice Rilwan Aikawa of Federal High Court in Lagos will on October 30 hear an application by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, seeking to be joined as defendant in money laundering suit.

The former minister is seeking to be joined as defendant in a N500 million fraud charge slammed on Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Dele Belgore.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had also joined in the charge, former Minister of National Planning, Abubakar Suleiman.
In essence, Allison-Madueke wants the court to compel the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) to bring her back to Nigeria from UK, where she has been since 2015, to put up her defence in the case.
The EFCC had in a five-count amended charge, named former petroleum minister as culprit in the criminal trial of Belgore and Sulaiman over alleged N500 million fraud.
She was, however, described as being “at large “.
The anti-graft agency claimed that the N500 million was part of 115 million dollars which the former minister allegedly doled out to compromise the 2015 general elections.
Earlier efforts by Allison-Madueke’s lawyer, Obinna Onya, to move his application on Tuesday, was turned down by Justice Aikawa on the grounds that he was yet to serve same to all parties.
The judge said he could only hear the application after all parties had been properly served.
The lawyer also earlier contended that contrary to declaration by EFCC that Allison-Madueke was at large, the former minister was in UK and was willing to return to Nigeria to defend the charges.
He insisted that since his client’s name had been mentioned in the charge, it would be unfair to allow the case to proceed without affording her the opportunity of self defence.
On Wednesday’s proceedings, EFCC’s lawyer, Rotimi Oyedepo, informed the court that he had now been served with the application.
The court earlier took arguments from parties on the propriety or otherwise of admitting a document containing electronic mail communication between Allison-Madueke and a bank managing director.
EFCC’s lawyer, Oyedepo, sought to tender the document (mail) during examination of the second prosecution witness, Usman Zakari.
Opposing the request, however, defence lawyers — Ebun Shofunde (SAN) and Olatunji Ayanlaja (SAN) — contended that the document was not admissible because it did not meet the requirement of the Evidence Act.
They argued that the prosecution had not placed any material facts before the court to confirm the genuineness of the signature on the face of the document.
In urging the court to admit the document, EFCC’s lawyer said the objection to the admissibility of the document by the defence was misconceived.
He argued that the certificate accompanying the document substantially complied with the provisions of Section 84 of the Evidence Act.
Oyedepo further submitted that the document sought to be tendered was certified by the officer in whose custody the mail attached to the certificate was generated.
He argued that an investigative officer such as witness in the box, could tender documents he received in the course of investigation.
He submitted that the document sought to be tendered was relevant to the case and urged the court to admit same.
After entertaining arguments from parties, Justice Aikawa adjourned ruling and continuation of trial till Oct. 30.
In the amended charge, the former petroleum minister was alleged to have conspired with Belgore and Sulaiman on or about March 27, 2015, to directly take possession of N450 million, which they reasonably ought to have known formed part of proceeds of unlawful act.
The trio were also alleged to have taken the said fund in cash, which exceeded the amount authorised by law, without going through financial institutions.
Belgore and Sulaiman were also alleged to have paid N50 million to Sheriff Shagaya without going through any financial institution.
The offences contravened the provisions of sections 15(2)(d), 1(a), 16(d) and 18 of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) (Amendment) Act, 2012.

Baby, out of wedlock.

Having a baby to save a relationship: how wise?

How good are babies at saving failing marriages and relationships?

How good are babies at saving failing relationships and marriages. How good are babies at saving failing relationships and marriages.
(Love Lint)

A little after the sixth month anniversary of  Henry and Chizoba’s wedding, the young couple  began to have issues.

Allegations of neglect flew from Chizoba to Henry, who'd become so consumed with the desire for the top spot at his place of work so he put in a lot of extra hours and worked himself to the ground everyday.
Henry interprets his wife’s continuous demands for more attention as being too needy and intentionally being difficult and turns a deaf ear to all of her complaints.
"Maybe you guys are having issues because it's just the two of you," Chizoba's colleague asked her at the office one afternoon.
"What if you guys just need something to renew the bond you share? A baby will be perfect for that, you know," the older lady said.
Refusing to give your woman oral sex, while demanding for it will very likely cause you issues in the relationship. How wise would it be to have a baby to save your relationship?

And so, the seed was planted in Chizoba's heart till she was certain that was the solution to the problem she faced in her marriage.
Not a counselling session. Not conversation, and of course not a scheduled holiday from where phones were banned, where no work was permitted and where it would be just the two of them, talking and eating; working out their issues, having lazy, mindblowing sex; settling differences, renewing vows and repeating the cycle till the holiday ended.
None of that would do, according to her colleague. Only a baby.
Babies are amazing bundles of joy, of course.
Why do women have to do more to keep a relationship? If babies could make all your relationship problems go, people will automatically fall in love immediately after they have a baby together. (Shutterstock)
But guess what, the happiness of having one won’t automatically transmit into the relationship of its parents.
Maybe existing issues will go to the background for the time being, but then the joy of having that baby will ‘wear off’ soon enough and the issues that existed before the baby arrived will remain, maybe worsen.
Unless partners address their issues and accept to make changes, nothing actually changes in a relationship.
Your relationship problems will still be there staring you in the face after the baby arrives with its sweet scent which will take over the house but not rectify the stench of your unhealthy relationship.
This is the reason why two people have a baby together but still can’t stand each other.
Of course, it is understandable if you were both in love before the babies came.
If things got worse in your relationship after the arrival of your babies, that’s a different thing entirely.
Every baby deserves to come into a happy place. If your relationship isn't, don't try to bring them in to cure it. (Shutterstock)

But getting pregnant to force closeness and hoping for babies to come cure your bad relationship with their cherubic littles faces is unwise.
And here’s one more thing to consider before trying to use a baby as a remedy for your bad relationship or to tie down an unwilling partner – every baby deserves two happy parents.
Why bring one in into a relationship that’s filled with obvious resentment and hostility?
It is unwise to say the least and as I said above, unfair to the baby.
It hardly works and doesn't look like that's going to change any time soon.
Don't do it.
